Plogmann and Class take victories at IDM Supermoto in Sankt Wendel

In the weekend of 13 & 14th of May, the second official round of the 2017 IDM Supermoto championship took place at the legendary racetrack of Sankt Wendel in Saarland. In the first race of S1 class, the victory went to Suzuki rider Andre Plogmann before the European champion of 2016 Petr Vorlicek and Husqvarna rider Markus Volz. Race two was overshadowed by a big crash in the off-road section of Philipp Prestel. The rider German needed serious medical attention on the track and he was taken to the hospital with a trauma helicopter. Our thoughts are with Philipp and his family. The race restarted in early evening with 18 riders. The victory in race two was for Husqvarna rider Markus Class. Second place was for Austrian rider Andreas Buschberger before Markus Volz.

The S2 class in Sankt Wendel was won by Dutch Honda rider Ruurd van Roozendaal with two victories. Second place overall was for Tobias Hiemer followed by Christian Pacher.
