Markus Class wins the IDM Supermoto round in Grossenhain Germany

Today the 3rd round of the 2018 IDM Supermoto German championship was held in Grossenhain. On the circuit situated on an airfield Husqvarna rider Markus Class was the fastest of all in the S1 class and took the victory with two solid race wins.

In the time practice on Saturday, Markus Class already showed some impressive speed and the pole position before Markus Volz and Steffen Albrecht. Suzuki rider Andre Plogmann and Simon Vilhelmsen completed the top five in the fast S1 class.

The first race of the S1 class in Grossenhain was won by Markus Class. The fast German rider finished with a lead of 4.498 seconds to second rider Andre Plogmann. In third place Markus Volz just in front of Steffen Albrecht on Husqvarna. The top five in the first race was completed by Danish rider Simon Vilhelmsen. Race two was also won by Markus Class but this time the competition was closer behind the German champion of 2017. Class finished in first but the gap to the second rider Markus Volz was only 00.681 seconds. Third place in the second round was for Andre Plogmann in front of Peter Bahnholzer. This race the top five was completed by Czech rider Petr Vorlicek. With his two race wins, Markus Class also took the overall victory at his debut in the German championship in 2018.
